A Real Detail, Not a Longer Car Wash

A wash gets the surface clean. Detailing is the actual restoration pulling pollen residue off before it etches, lifting bonded pine sap, getting into the door jambs & vents a regular wash skips, & treating the interior for whatever is actually in it, not just running a vacuum over the top. That is the difference, & it is why a 45 minute “detail” somewhere else usually is not one.

Some things depend too much on a specific condition of cars to bundle into a flat package price. Priced separately, quoted before we start:

Interior:

  • Pet hair removal priced by severity, not a flat add on, since one dog is worth of fur is not the same job as three.
  • Odou8r treatment (smoke, pet, mildew) from $75.
  • Leather deep clean & conditioning from $100.
  • Over spray removal from $150.

Exterior:

  • Tree sap & pollen film removal from $100. We see this enough in Richmond that it is worth calling out specifically rather than burying it in the exterior cleaning.
  • Headlight restoration from $100.
  • Paint sealant application from $100.
  • Spot or stain removal from $100.

How Long Does It Actually Take?

Express runs about an hour. Signature is closer to 3–4 hours since the clay bar and shampoo steps both take real time. Premium can run a full day if paint correction is involved — rushing correction is how you end up with the swirl marks we talked about on the paint protection page, so we don’t compress it just to turn the car around faster.

Depends on where you park more than anything else. Richmond’s pollen season runs nearly ten months, February through November, & if you are regularly parked under trees, that alone pushes the interval to every 8 to 12 weeks. Generic advice says “every 4 to 6 months” that is fine somewhere with an actual dry season. Richmond does not have one, so we would rather give you the honest interval than the easy one.

Time and equipment, mostly. A clay bar pass, proper steam cleaning, & correct interior shampooing all take specific tools & enough time that most people doing it themselves end up skipping steps not because they are careless, but because a Saturday afternoon does not leave room for a 4 hour process done right.

All vehicle types pricing adjusts slightly for size, particularly on the Signature & Premium tiers where shampoo & correction scale with surface area.

That is what the add on list above is for. You do not need to book a full package if your car is in decent shape and you have just got sap on the hood or a smell you can not place.
